Knaresborough Round: This 20 mile circular walk takes you on a tour of the countryside, lakes, rivers, woodland and villages surrounding historic Knaresborough. You can do it all or just a section of it - ending up at the Tiger Inn for a welcome lunch/dinner or pint afterwards. You’ll find everything you need to plan your route here .
Knaresborough River Walk: Only a four miles from the Tiger Inn is the historic town of Knaresborough. Take a riverside walk along the River Nidd, from the 12-century Knaresborough Castle to the nearby Conyngham Hall. From the castle you have the most amazing view over the river and its viaduct. Head down from the castle and along the riverwalk, crossing over the road at the end to get to Conyngham Hall. Plan your route here.
Plumpton Rocks: Queen Mary described these rocks as ‘heaven on earth’. Situated just over six miles away, these beautiful 30 acre gardens in delightful for an afternoon walk. Follow narrow paths through the dramatic rocks before a short climb to a lovely viewpoint overlooking the lake. Plumpton is not always open so please check here before travelling.
